BACKGROUND |
Simon is an MA graduate of the Department of Film Composition at Bristol University. When studying for his first music degree in Piano and Electronic Keyboards at Dartington, he developed a passionate interest in music and storytelling. Since then, he has written and scored music for feature film, television, advertising and the theatre. Over the last decade, he has worked extensively on a wide range of documentary, drama and film projects, as well as being highly active in the radio and corporate media. His recent credits include 'Tambu Island', a feature film made for the Australian Broadcasting Company. This original film score integrated a vast array of world and ethnic instruments into a modern ambience for the contemporary film audience. He has also just completed a soundtrack for 'Fast Cars', a documentary soon to be produced for TV Channel 4. He is currently composing an original score for a half hour drama financed by HTV, and numerous items of Corporate Video work and Advertising for television. |
